Practice with headphones—whenever you want, as much as you want.

One of the greatest advantages of a digital piano is the ability to practice through headphones.

You´ll be able to play as loud as long as you like without disturbing family members or neighbors.

Recording makes your piano practice more fun and effective.

If you´re wanting to listen to your playing objectively, or to practice with one hand what you normally perform with the other, recording function is just the thing you need.

Use the metronome to ramp up your rhythm skills.

If you´d like to play along to a fixed tempo, or want to sharpen your skills at keeping time, the Metronome will keep you in the groove.

Join the band with Rhythm Accompaniments.

If you get tired of playing alone, rhythm accompaniment is available in genres such as rock, pop, jazz, and bossa nova.

This is a fun way to learn genre-specific rhythms.

Play music from the instrument´s speakers via Bluetooth® audio.

The P-225 features built-in Bluetooth audio, which lets you pair with your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet so you can play along with favorite music through the instrument´s speakers.

An external adapter is not required.

Sound Boost brings out the sound of the piano.

Have you ever been in a session with a band and felt that your sound was being overpowered by the other instruments? Worry no more—the P-225 is equipped with a Sound Boost function that switches to a punchy and powerful sound for such situations.

Use this feature to enhance the instrument´s sound as you play and record using Yamah´s Smart Pianist app or via Rec´n Share.

The Stereophonic Optimizer.

When using headphones, the Stereophonic Optimizer lets players enjoy the dispersed sound heard when sitting in front of an acoustic piano.

With the Stereophonic Optimizer, Voices sampled from acoustic pianos appear to come from the body of the instrument.

This provides a comfortable, natural experience that removes the drawbacks of performing with headphones.

Button-style interface that makes it easy for anyone to use.

This model uses physical buttons rather than a touch panel, making it easy for anyone to operate the most essential functions.

Aside from piano sounds, we have carefully selected only the most frequently used sounds, including keyboard instrument sounds like electric piano, and harpsichord, as well as strings.

Two-way speaker system delivers expansive sound.

The position and angle of the speakers on both the front and back of the P-225 were adjusted to reproduce the sounds reflected from the soundboard and lid of an acoustic grand piano as closely as possible.

This placement offers the player a comfortable sonic environment when the P-225 is placed against a wall.

A tone escapement has also been installed on this instrument to make the sound clearer and more readily heard, bringing the best acoustic balance to the player.

In addition to the speakers that offer sharp and clear mid- to high-range tones and prominent low-end for a well-balanced sound, the P-225´s speakers feature tweeters for a richer high-end tone.

Practice with 303 free pieces of classical sheet music.

The Smart Pianist app mentioned above comes with PDF scores of 303 classical pieces for practice such as Bayer, Burgmüller, Czerny, Hanon and more, which you are free to display and use on the screen of your smart device.

Sound that´s clearly distinguishable even at low volumes, reducing sonic fatigue.

Have you ever turned down the volume because you were worried about sound leaking into the surrounding environment, only to find that the instrument becomes harder to hear or that it´s less rewarding to play? The P-225 is equipped with Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC), which automatically adjusts the sound quality according to your volume settings.

This system makes it easier to hear the sound you play by slightly raising the volume of the treble and bass parts to match the characteristics of the human ear, which typically has trouble distinguishing the higher- and lower-end ranges at low volumes.

The P-225 now offers this feature for when you are using headphones.

This makes it easier on your ears and allows you to enjoy playing comfortably, even when you practice with headphones for long periods of time.

Dedicated optional stand and three-pedal unit available for a more authentic performance experience.

For those who want to really play the piano instead of enjoying it casually on a tabletop, we offer an optional L-200 stand and LP-1 three-pedal unit that provide the same features as you would find on a grand piano (including a damper pedal that supports half-pedaling).

Using the stand provides stability, proper height, and correct posture when you play, and adding the sustain pedal lets you enjoy a more authentic style of performing.

Pair your P-225 with the FC35 for three-pedal functionality and half-pedal compatibility or the FC3A for sustain and half-pedaling.

For optimal performance, pair the FC35 with a compatible L-Series stand.

Easily record sound and video, and upload your own performances.

If you want to take a video of your performance and share it on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, Rec´n´Share is the way to go.

Connect the P-225 to your smart device, and record both video and audio at the same time to complete your video.

Easy to assemble.

The optional stand can be easily and safely assembled (purchased separately).

When purchasing the dedicated stand, please purchase the L-200, which is compatible with the P-225.

Dedicated keyboard bag for carrying.

If you want to take your piano with you when traveling, or when you go to live performances or to work, a dedicated keyboard bag (SC-KB851) is available as an optional accessory.

This case securely protects your instrument as you carry it.Yamaha P-225WH.
