Perfect first fib

Milan

Really good for the money. They’re slightly on the stiff side, but the foot pocket is perfect. I’m normally a 46/47, and the 46/47 with 3 mm socks is super comfy - could probably go up to 7 mm as well. Delivery was quick too, less than a week to the UK.

Excellent purchase

I´m starting spearfishing and I´ve tried them for several days. My feeling is that for a beginner (shallow depth) they are too big. Otherwise everything is great

The best fins on the market in terms of quality, price, and diving performance. I use them for spearfishing and occasional swimming in rivers or the sea. I wear a US size 7 and with a 42-43 they fit perfectly, I recommend using 3mm or thicker neoprene booties, for me those work because I have a very thin foot

The sheeping is fast. Size is OK. I couldn’t test the fins on the water. But selling, so fins and flexibility seem satisfactory. The size 44/45 is adjustable to my boot. Surprise, also OK

These fins are wonderfully well-thought-out, technically advanced. I tested them on the Soła River, where the depth is up to 2 meters, and large boulders require skillful maneuvering while diving. These fins are wonderfully maneuverable for underwater filming and snorkeling.

Good quality fins with excellent propulsion. Comfortable foot pocket with space to wear 3 mm neoprene socks. Reactive blade which helps in the excellent performance of the fin. Buoyancy is positive, but the maneuverability of the fins makes up for this.

Når det kommer til shoppingfins, det hele kommer ned til personlig preferanse. Different manufacturers have different designs for the foot, and it is therefore advisable that you investigate what kind of brand that fits your foot the best. These fins happened to fit my feet perfectly, which I am very happy about. The price is also excellent, compared to what you get for it. The blade is pretty stiff, due to the design of the fin, and the fact that it is made from plastic, but since I'm so stiffer, this is a good choice for me. The price / quality ratio is excellent here, and I recommend these fins if you are just starting out and do not want to commit all the way to high-end carbon fins just yet.

My feet are between a 9-9.5UK. I bought a 44-45 to wear with 3mm socks and these seem to be about right. I also bought the cressi professionals but the foot pocket was too narrow and it made my feet ache. These seem like they will be much better for a wider foot like mine.

For the price, you can't go wrong with Concorde. Very good flexibility, perfect for 30 M, I am a size 43 and 42/43 fits perfect without a sock, but you could wear it with a 2mm. Easy recommend.

My first fins and i am very pleased

2023/12/25

Wojtek

Great fins. I chose it because Mares has size 44/45 available, which is my normal shoe size. With 3mm socks it's perfect, but without socks it's also good. I'm not experienced, but the fins seem soft. Compared to the Omer Stingray Evo that I tried, they are much softer and much easier to swim in. They also have a nicely profiled tilt angle. The fin is rounded rather than bent, making it easier to kick forward. At least compared to the Stingray Evo. I'm a beginner and for me they are perfect. I recommend

Niki

How well do these fins fit on a 5mm thick neoprene sock? I have shoe size 43. Would the 42/43 fin size fit me with a thick neoprene sock? 44/45 fin size model sounds a bit toi big.

Answer of Alba

I would say yes, the socks I wear in my size (38/39) are 2mm and they didn´t fit me very tight at the toe and I have a shoe size of more like 39. I would say that 5mm 42/43 would be fine for you.

Answer of Alvaro

Hi, yes, that size will fit you. If you have a normal foot, that is not very wide, they will fit you well because with the neoprene they will fit your foot better and will not come off. I have tried them without neoprene and if you paddle very hard, because your foot is not well supported, one of my fins has come loose. Putting them on with the neoprene will be more difficult, but it will be better than getting a larger size.

Jack

HelloI want the fins to be soft/or medium hard. I have weak leg muscles and I am 192 cm tall. Will these be suitable or will SEAC motus be better or maybe others (up to 70 euros). Best regards. Jack

Answer of Alba

Hi! They are medium hard, a bit rigid compared to other fins I have used but I am use to them now. I am 163 and I have been snorkeling with them for hours, feeling fine even though they are a bit of a workout for the legs.

Answer of Claire

Hi Jack, these are great entry level fins. They are quite stiff as they are resin. If you want softer balde I suggest carbon blades that you can have different thicknesses in. Try the brand 2971, I am a freediving instructor and use them always

Ideal buyer profiles

The Spearfishing Adventurer

This diver is passionate about spearfishing and requires gear that enhances their underwater hunting capabilities. They operate in shallow to mid-depth environments and need fins that offer a blend of power, control, and energy conservation for extended periods in the water.

These fins are an excellent match due to their powerful propulsion and high-performance parabolic flexion, which are crucial for chasing prey. The tapered lateral ribs and stable tip profile provide the necessary control and stability for precise maneuvering, while the over-molded closed foot pocket ensures a secure, comfortable fit for long spearfishing sessions.

The Dedicated Freediver

This individual practices freediving regularly, focusing on reaching shallow to mid-depths with maximum efficiency. They prioritize gear that minimizes effort and maximizes propulsion to conserve oxygen and extend their bottom time. Comfort and a direct transfer of power from foot to fin are critical.

The Concorde fins meet the needs of the dedicated freediver by offering efficient, powerful propulsion through their techno-polymer blade and parabolic flexion. This design allows for greater speed with less energy expenditure. The closed, over-molded foot pocket provides a comfortable and highly efficient connection, translating every movement into forward momentum.

The Occasional Diving Hobbyist

This person enjoys freediving or spearfishing as a recreational activity rather than a competitive sport. They want reliable, high-performing fins that are easy to use and enhance their confidence underwater, but may not need top-of-the-line professional equipment. They value a good balance of performance and comfort.

This product is a great choice because it provides a significant performance upgrade from entry-level fins without being overly specialized. The combination of powerful propulsion and enhanced stability helps build diving confidence, while the comfortable closed foot pocket makes them enjoyable to use for recreational dives.

Competitive features

When evaluating spearfishing fins, key factors include propulsion efficiency, comfort, and suitability for your intended diving depth. The Mares Pure Passion Concorde fins are engineered for spearfishing and freediving in shallow to mid-depth waters. They feature a responsive techno-polymer blade designed for powerful propulsion with minimal fatigue. Let's see how they stack up against other popular models in the category.

Where it excels

The Mares Pure Passion Concorde fins are designed with a responsive techno-polymer blade that utilizes parabolic flexion, a feature aimed at maximizing propulsion efficiency while minimizing diver fatigue during long sessions. Engineered with an over-molded foot pocket, these fins focus on optimizing energy transfer from the diver's leg to the blade, enhancing control and endurance for underwater hunting. Tapered lateral ribs and a stable tip profile are integrated into the design to deliver precise and fluid movement, which is beneficial for navigating varied underwater environments.
