Product description of Cascaborra Ediciones Cajamarca comic

Description summary

In 1532 the Inca Empire is at its peak.

Its territory (the so-called Tahuantinsuyo) represents the most extensive empire in all of pre-Columbian America, encompassing the current territories of Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina and Colombia.

After the death in 1525 of Huayna Capac, the civil war unleashed between his sons Huascar and Atahualpa had just concluded with the victory of the latter, who had established himself as the Sapa Inca.

The conquistador from Trujillo, Francisco Pizarro, along with 168 soldiers, penetrates the Tahuantinsuyo.

This first contact between two absolutely different civilizations (the Spanish and the Inca) took place in the city of Cajamarca.

Different martial techniques, different languages, different religions, different cultures... all of this converged in Cajamarca.

Avoiding both the black legend about the Spanish conquest of America and absurd biases, this album narrates the decisive events that occurred in Cajamarca on November 15 and 16, 1532, which marked the greatest turning point in the history of South America.
