Lord Byron´s legendary proposal during the summer of 1816 is well known, according to which five members of English high society, gathered in a Swiss mansion, were to devise a horror story.

There, the seed of what would later become two foundational novels of the horror genre was conceived:

Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, by Mary W. Shelley, and The Vampyre, by John William Polidori.

The latter was the cornerstone upon which subsequent fictions about vampirism were built.

Miguel Babiano and Domingo Giner offer a modern and vibrant adaptation in vignettes of John W. Polidori´s classic novel.
