"El Salto" presents the poignant and gripping narrative of Ibrahim, a man whose life is abruptly torn apart. After arriving in Spain from Guinea Conakry and building a life with his family in Madrid, his world is shattered when he is arrested for not having a residence permit and deported back to his country of origin. Fuelled by an unwavering determination to reunite with his loved ones, Ibrahim embarks on a harrowing journey back to the country he calls home. His travels across the African continent eventually lead him to a refugee camp, a precarious limbo between Africa and Europe. It is here, in this place of desperate hope, that he meets Aminata, a young woman fiercely determined to "jump the fence" and cross into Spain. This perilous act, a symbol of both hope and desperation, is a formidable physical and emotional odyssey that not everyone is capable of achieving.
