The ND4 filter helps reduce the shutter speed by 2 f-stops, for filming or taking photos under cloudy skies with low light.

Achieve Cinematic Motion Blur

The primary function of this Neutral Density (ND) filter is to manage the amount of light entering the drone´s camera lens. By reducing the light by 2 f-stops, the ND4 filter enables you to slow down your camer´s shutter speed. This is crucial for achieving the smooth, natural motion blur that is a hallmark of professional filmmaking. By adhering to the 180-degree shutter rule (setting your shutter speed to double your frame rate), your aerial videos will have a fluid, cinematic quality, free from the choppy, jittery look often seen in over-exposed drone footage. It´s the perfect tool for shooting on cloudy or overcast days when the light is soft but still bright enough to force a high shutter speed.

Flawless Gimbal Performance with GimbalSafe Technology

Engineered with Freewell´s renowned GimbalSafe technology, each filter is constructed to be exceptionally lightweight. This meticulous design ensures that the filter will not overload or strain your drone´s delicate 3-axis gimbal. You can fly with complete confidence, knowing that the gimbal´s performance will remain perfectly smooth and responsive, resulting in flawlessly stable footage without any risk of calibration errors or motor damage.

Premium Optical Quality for Uncompromised Clarity

At the heart of the Freewell ND4 filter is premium, color-neutral optical glass. This high-grade material guarantees that your images and videos are captured with maximum clarity, sharpness, and true-to-life color fidelity. Unlike inferior filters, it will not introduce any unwanted color cast, preserving the natural tones and beauty of the landscapes you capture.

Durable, All-Weather Protection

Built to withstand the demands of outdoor aerial photography, the filter is treated with a robust, multi-layered coating. This advanced surface treatment makes the glass scratch-resistant, waterproof, dustproof, and oilproof. This not only protects the filter from accidental damage but also makes it incredibly easy to clean in the field. Whether you encounter unexpected rain, dust, or fingerprints, a quick wipe is all it takes to restore perfect clarity, ensuring you never miss a shot. The precision-machined frame provides a secure, easy-to-install fit, allowing you to quickly adapt to changing light conditions
