Freewell ND64/PL Drone Camera Filter

FREEWELL ND64/PL Drone Camera Filter

Elevate your aerial cinematography and photography to a professional standard with the Freewell ND64/PL Drone Camera Filter. Designed for discerning drone pilots and content creators, this advanced hybrid filter is an indispensable tool for mastering challenging lighting conditions and unlocking the full creative potential of your drone´s camera. It combines the powerful light-reducing capabilities of a Neutral Density (ND) filter with the glare-cutting effects of a Polarizer (PL) into a single, seamless optical element.

Achieve the coveted cinematic motion blur with precision and ease. The ND64 aspect of this filter provides a fixed 6-stop reduction in the amount of light reaching your camer´s sensor. This substantial light-blocking power is ideal for shooting in extremely bright environments, such as on sunny days, over snow, or across open water. By reducing the light so effectively, you can slow down your camer´s shutter speed to the optimal cinematic standard—often following the 180-degree shutter rule—without overexposing your footage. This technique transforms your videos from looking choppy and amateurish to appearing incredibly smooth, fluid, and professional, capturing motion with a natural and engaging blur.

Simultaneously, the integrated polarizing element works to dramatically enhance the quality of your image by managing reflections and glare. The polarizer effectively cuts through the distracting sheen from non-metallic surfaces like water, glass, and wet foliage. The result is a significant boost in color saturation and contrast. Skies appear a deeper, richer blue, clouds pop with more definition, and you can see through the surface of water for stunningly clear shots. This function is essential for landscape videography and photography, bringing a level of vibrancy and clarity that is impossible to achieve without a high-quality polarizer.

Engineered with Freewell´s renowned GimbalSafe technology, this filter is meticulously constructed to be incredibly lightweight and perfectly balanced. This ensures that it will not interfere with the delicate mechanics of your drone´s gimbal, guaranteeing flawlessly smooth and stable operation during flight. You can fly with confidence, knowing that your filter is not compromising the stability of your footage.

The optical performance is second to none, built using premium, high-definition optical glass that is completely color-neutral. This means the filter will not introduce any unwanted color cast to your images or videos, preserving the true-to-life tones of your scene. What you see is what you capture. Furthermore, the glass is treated with a durable multi-layer coating. This robust protection makes the filter surface scratch-resistant, waterproof, dustproof, and oil-proof, ensuring maximum clarity even in demanding shooting environments and making it effortless to clean and maintain in the field.

The Freewell ND64/PL filter is more than just an accessory; it is a critical component for any serious aerial creator looking to produce breathtaking, high-quality content. By offering two essential filtering effects in one lightweight unit, it streamlines your workflow, reduces weight on your gimbal, and empowers you to capture stunning, glare-free, and cinematically smooth footage even in the brightest daylight
