Achieve flawless stability and perfect balance for your professional video setup with the Manfrotto 357Long Video Plate. Designed as an essential accessory for videographers and filmmakers who work with demanding camera rigs, this plate addresses the common challenges of balancing unwieldy equipment. If you frequently use heavy camcorders, long telephoto lenses, or large battery packs, you understand how crucial a precise center of gravity is for smooth, cinematic movements like pans and tilts. This is where the 357Long plate excels, providing the extended platform necessary for optimal performance.

This long version of the standard plate allows perfect balance for camcorders with unusual weight distribution caused by long tele lenses or heavy batteries. Its extended length offers a significant advantage over standard plates, giving you the extra room needed to slide your camera forward or backward to find that critical balancing point. This capability transforms a frustrating setup process into a quick and efficient one, ensuring your fluid head can operate at its peak potential without strain or drift. This makes it an indispensable tool for wildlife videography, live event coverage, and documentary filmmaking where heavy, long-lens setups are common.

Precision and repeatability are paramount on any professional set. To that end, the plate has a laser engraved scale to help identify and record optimal position. This invaluable feature allows you to make a note of the perfect balance point for different lens and accessory combinations. When you switch configurations, you can instantly return to your recorded position, saving precious time and eliminating guesswork. In order to free the maximum range of possible balance positions (140mm), the VHS location pin is able to slide along the length of the plate. This intelligent design ensures that no matter how front-heavy or back-heavy your rig is, you have the full, unobstructed length of the plate to achieve a neutral balance, resulting in smoother and more controlled camera movements.

As one of the most versatile and essential Plates in a professional´s kit, the Manfrotto 357Long is built for broad compatibility and convenience. Supplied with 2x1/4” and 2x3/8” camera screws, it is ready to mount virtually any professional camcorder or cinema camera right out of the box.
