Motu 828 Audio Interface

Unlock unparalleled audio fidelity and workflow efficiency with the legendary MOTU 828 audio interface, meticulously re-engineered for the modern creative studio. This powerhouse interface sets a new standard for music production, podcasting, and live streaming, delivering pristine sound quality that captures every nuance of your performance. At its core, the 828 is driven by renowned ESS Sabre32™ DAC technology, providing an astonishing 125 dB of dynamic range and exceptionally low harmonic distortion. This ensures your monitoring and analog outputs are transparent, detailed, and impeccably accurate, allowing you to mix with absolute confidence.

Take command of your session with the vibrant, high-resolution 3.9-inch full-color LCD display. This crystal-clear screen provides detailed, full-scale metering for all analog and digital inputs and outputs, eliminating guesswork and allowing you to monitor levels directly from the hardware. Navigate settings and access the powerful onboard features with an intuitive menu system, streamlining your creative process and keeping you focused on the music, not the screen.

Elevate your recordings with a suite of built-in DSP effects, including a classic reverb, a British-style 4-band parametric EQ, and vintage-inspired compression modeled after the legendary LA-2A optical compressor. Apply this studio-quality processing to any input or output, with near-zero latency, all without burdening your computer´s CPU. This makes it perfect for tracking with polished, confidence-inspiring headphone mixes or for use as a standalone digital mixer in a live performance setting.

Connectivity is comprehensive and designed to be the central hub of any recording setup. The front panel features two high-performance mic/line/hi-Z combo inputs with pristine preamps and individual +48V phantom power. The rear panel offers a vast array of I/O, including 8 balanced analog inputs and outputs, dual ADAT optical ports for expanding your channel count by up to 16 channels, and S/PDIF digital I/O. For seamless integration with synthesizers and other external gear, the 828 includes both MIDI I/O and Word Clock I/O for flawless digital synchronization.

Designed for today´s creators, the MOTU 828 includes advanced features like loopback channels for effortlessly routing computer audio for streaming and podcasting, and two independent headphone outputs for collaborative sessions. Critical mixing decisions are made easier with A/B speaker switching directly from the front panel. Control your entire mixing environment with the redesigned CueMix 5 software, which runs on Mac, Windows, and iOS, giving you complete control over your routing and effects from your computer or mobile device. Connected via a high-speed, class-compliant USB-C port, the MOTU 828 is the definitive audio interface for professionals who demand uncompromising quality and flexibility
