Touch, see and connect with your games! Discover amiibo, a new way to interact with your favorite Nintendo characters and games. If you touch the figure to the NFC dot on the Wii U GamePad when playing certain games, data from the chip will be transferred to the game for use in a variety of ways. As you play, your figure´s data will also update, so as you play, your amiibo becomes more and more unique.


Features:

- Touch the NFC point on the Wii U Gamepad with the figure and watch it come to life. Data from the chip will be transferred to the game for use in a variety of ways.
- Unlike other lines of figures with NFC technology, you can use the same amiibo in many games: how they are used will depend on the game.
- For example, in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, you can transfer your amiibo´s data to appear in the game and train it to fight for you or as your ally or enemy. As your amiibo fights, they will develop their own unique skills and attributes, becoming stronger and learning new moves.
- They do not need any additional accessories to work on Wii U: they connect with the Gamepad. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be compatible with amiibo from the game´s launch.
- More amiibo-compatible games will be available, including Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10, Hyrule Warriors and Yoshi´s Woolly World for Wii U, with more on the way.
- In addition to working with Wii U, amiibo can also be used with Nintendo 3DS and 2DS thanks to an accessory that is scheduled to go on sale in 2015. More details on the compatible software planned for Nintendo 3DS will be announced in the future.
