Unleash a new dimension of creativity in your photography and videography with the SMALLRIG 3845B Star-Cross Filter. This professional-grade lens filter is expertly designed to transform point light sources into dazzling, classic four-point starbursts, adding a touch of Hollywood magic and dramatic flair to your visuals. It is the perfect tool for artists looking to elevate their nightscapes, cityscapes, and creative portraits, turning ordinary scenes into captivating works of art.

The primary benefit of the 3845B filter lies in its ability to render specular highlights, such as streetlights, car headlights, reflections on water, or sparkling jewelry, with a beautifully defined and aesthetically pleasing star effect. This instantly adds a cinematic and enchanting quality to both still images and video footage. For videographers, it introduces dynamic and engaging visual interest to night scenes, while photographers can create breathtaking long-exposure shots that truly stand out. The effect is controlled and refined, ensuring a professional look without overwhelming the composition.

Engineered for ultimate creative control, the filter features a fully rotatable frame. This crucial feature allows you to precisely adjust the angle of the starburst effect on the fly. Whether you want the points to be perfectly horizontal and vertical or angled for a more dynamic feel, a simple twist of the filter ring gives you complete command over the final look, enabling you to align the effect perfectly with your artistic vision.

Built for durability and pristine optical performance, the filter is treated with an advanced, double-sided, multi-layer coating. This exceptional treatment makes the filter highly resistant to water, stains, and oil, ensuring that smudges and fingerprints can be wiped away effortlessly. This robust protection also guards against scratches, guaranteeing reliable performance even in challenging shooting conditions and providing long-lasting clarity.

Optically, the 3845B is designed to maintain the integrity of your image. It ensures outstanding light transmittance and minimal color cast, preserving the original sharpness, clarity, and color fidelity of your lens. Your images remain crisp and vibrant, with the star effect serving as a beautiful enhancement rather than a distraction. The filter is housed in an ultra-slim, precision-engineered frame that is both lightweight and sturdy. This thoughtful design effectively prevents vignetting, even when used with wide-angle lenses, allowing you to capture the entire scene without dark corners or compromise. Its standard front and rear threading also allows for easy stacking with other filters, such as ND or CPL filters, expanding your creative possibilities without hassle. The SMALLRIG 3845B Star-Cross Filter is an essential accessory for any photographer or filmmaker seeking to add a layer of professional polish and mesmerizing visual appeal to their work
