Smallrig 4559 handle

Elevate your filmmaking and photography with the SMALLRIG 4559 Rotatable Horizontal-to-Vertical Mount Plate Kit, an essential tool designed for today´s dynamic content creators. Specifically engineered for select Sony Alpha series cameras, this innovative mount fundamentally transforms your shooting workflow. Move beyond the limitations of traditional L-brackets and experience the freedom of instantaneous orientation changes. With a single, fluid motion, you can rotate your camera from a standard horizontal landscape position to a vertical portrait mode without removing it from your tripod or gimbal. This groundbreaking feature is a game-changer for hybrid shooters who need to deliver content for multiple platforms, from cinematic widescreen to social media stories, saving valuable time on set and eliminating the need to re-balance your stabilization system.

The intelligent design of the SMALLRIG 4559 ensures that the lens´s central axis is perfectly maintained throughout the rotation. This critical detail means your composition remains locked, preventing frustrating framing shifts and allowing you to focus purely on the creative aspects of your shot. Furthermore, the mount provides complete, unhindered access to your camer´s articulating LCD flip screen, a feature often compromised by other mounting solutions. This allows you to utilize the full functionality of your Sony camera for high-angle, low-angle, and self-filming shots without any obstruction. The precise engineering also preserves access to all essential buttons and cable ports, ensuring your workflow remains uninterrupted, whether you are connecting external microphones, monitors, or power sources.

Built for versatility, the mount plate is a powerhouse of connectivity. Integrated with multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and a QD (Quick Detach) socket, it provides a robust framework for building out a complete professional rig. Effortlessly attach magic arms, top handles, monitors, and other crucial accessories to create a setup tailored to your specific production needs. The system features extensive Arca-Swiss compatibility on both the baseplate and the lens collar mount, offering near-universal integration with a vast ecosystem of tripods, fluid heads, and select gimbals. The baseplate itself is detachable and can be used independently as a lightweight L-bracket, offering flexibility for different shooting scenarios. Crafted for professional use, its robust and lightweight construction ensures maximum durability without adding unnecessary weight to your setup, making it ideal for both studio sessions and demanding on-location shoots.
