I have not tried it underwater yet but it feels and looks very nice. My face is quite small and the mask fits it well. Big plus that it comes with a box for it to be stored in. I got the one with the tinted glass and above surface everything gets more blue-ish, looking forward trying it out underwater.

Hard to tell about children. It definitely is a mask for people with small/narrow faces and will work for most women. Probably it´ll work for 10 year old if he´s a boy meaning he has bigger face. Otherwise, I´d recommend to check out this website for special children´s masks. Cressi used to produce them. Not sure about Beuchat.
