Product description of Cressi Alligator 9 cm Scissors

Description summary

The CRESSI Alligator 9cm is a versatile dive tool combining a robust knife and powerful scissors. Essential for divers, it offers quick solutions for entanglements with its hybrid design. Featuring sharp Japanese steel blades, one straight and one serrated, plus a line cutter notch, it handles various materials. Its ergonomic, non-slip handle ensures control, even with gloves. The secure, quick-release sheath and multiple mounting options, including a BCD hose adapter, make it indispensable for spearfishing and underwater exploration

CRESSI Alligator 9cm: The Ultimate Scissor-Knife for Divers

Enhance your underwater safety and usefulness with the CRESSI Alligator 9cm, a skillfully designed tool that effectively combines the strength of a sturdy dive knife with the precision of heavy-duty scissors. Created for the discerning diver who requires dependability, adaptability, and performance, the Alligator is an essential piece of equipment for scuba diving, spearfishing, and any underwater exploration. When you encounter unexpected entanglement from a net, fishing line, or dense kelp, this innovative scissor-knife offers the best solution, ensuring you can manage any circumstance with certainty and speed.

The CRESSI Alligator is more than just a standard dive knife; it is a multi-purpose cutting tool made for critical situations. Its primary advantage is its groundbreaking hybrid design. With a simple, secure opening mechanism, it converts from a compact, formidable knife into a pair of powerful scissors, providing you with the appropriate tool for the task without any delay. This eliminates the need to carry separate tools, simplifying your gear and reducing bulk while maximizing your readiness underwater. The ergonomic handle is designed for a firm, non-slip hold, even when wearing thick neoprene gloves, ensuring maximum control and leverage when you need it most.

Constructed for durability and exceptional cutting effectiveness in challenging marine settings, the CRESSI Alligator is built to endure. The sharp, resilient blades are made from high-quality Japanese steel, celebrated for its superior edge retention and resistance to corrosion. One blade has a razor-sharp straight edge for clean, precise cuts, while the other features a serrated edge designed to cut through tougher materials like rope and thick lines with ease. A dedicated line cutter notch is also incorporated into the blade, providing a third cutting option for quick and safe severing of monofilament and smaller lines without needing to open the main blade.

Main Features:

* Innovative Hybrid Functionality: A distinctive and robust design that functions as both a powerful dive knife and a high-leverage pair of scissors.
* Superior Cutting Performance: Features a dual-edge blade with one straight side for clean slicing and one serrated side for sawing through fibrous materials, plus an integrated line-cutting notch.
* Ergonomic and Secure Handling: The handle is specifically shaped to provide a comfortable and secure grip, with an intuitive opening for a sure and safe transition to scissors mode.
* Intuitive Sheath System: Comes complete with a durable, quick-release sheath that allows for secure storage and one-handed operation. The locking mechanism ensures the Alligator stays put until you need it.
* Versatile Mounting Options: Includes a dedicated adapter for easy and secure attachment to a BCD inflator hose, as well as slots for traditional calf or arm mounting with straps.

First of all the product is great. Not only it affordable but also looking awesome. Came in with bubble wrap and pack securely. Mine the box tear a little bit due to delivery but luckily the product was safe. Although my first impression was it quite short compare to other knife and the handle quite cunky but comfortable in the hand. The seaths quite difficult to use underwater if you're not use to the locking system but I can say it lock the knife tightly. My only concern is the locking at the end of the handle that lock the scissors function. It might loose overtime and you have to use rubber band to secure it. And it came with additional attachment item that can customize up to your preferences. Overall the product and delivery process is great. Will definitely buy other product here due to it's high quality and prices.

Hello, how to fix this knife on a stabilizing vest? Thank you

Answer of Carlos

It depends on the vest. In my case I have a xDeep Zen and I attached it using the tapes to one of the vest´s straps.

Answer of Jesús

You can put it on your pressure gauge very easily, I wear it on my wrist with a Velcro elastic that I put on a personalized one and it fits perfectly!!!

This is very secure in the holster. It can be accessed with one hand, but much easier with two.
