Not only has this new High Seal silicone been chosen, with its exceptional softness and comfort, but the entire design of the skirt has followed new rules which allow a point of contact between the mask and the face that has a very open angle.

The mask rests on the face with unprecedented comfort and does not leave any marks on the skin, even after extended use.

Naturally, to obtain such a result the entire structure of the skirt is differentiated, with internal ribs that stiffen the parts of the mask that are most stressed.

The raked lenses, with their inverted drop shape (Cressi patent), are quite small and are brought as close to the pupils as possible, so that the already extraordinary visibility of the Matrix is increased by 25%.

The headband uses the exclusive patented Cressi system of double injection of an elastomer on a rigid element and allows the buckles of the strap to be mounted not on the skirt structure, as done by our competitors, but on an indestructible elastic element that tilts on a vertical plane and can be completely bent sideways on a 180° curve.

The thickness of the headband has been reduced to such an extent as to make it practically invisible when the mask is being worn.

I bought this second pair because I changed the lenses to the old ones after 3 years and the bezel no longer fit perfectly due to the grit of so many years. I wanted to reuse the prescription lenses and bought the same model. I have replaced the lenses that come from the factory with the prescription lenses that I had easily, just with a small screwdriver and since these glasses are new the trim fits perfectly. Purchased this mask as backup to my current Cressi big eyes. It's important to note that masks should be tried before purchase; what may work for one person may not for others. After breaking my first Cressi big eyes, I went through masks from three different manufacturers. Two were cheap with thick glass that distorted the view. One was half again as much as the Cressi; it leaked below the nose piece (gave it to a friend who absolutely loves it). Came back to Cressi. I realize now that the original Cressi broke because I over tightened the strap (strap broke first, replaced it and then the bezel cracked). MY FAULT due to beginners ignorance. On land you should be able to keep the mask on your face by suction (short inhale through the nose) with no strap needed. So ... why purchase another? Because this mask works for me and is difficult to get in my location on short notice. Amazon either doesn't have it or won't ship to me. Scubastore/Diveinn beats Amazon on price and shipping costs (though US customs held the package for inspection for over a week). I love this mask ... it's as simple as that.

Hi Patrick, there is no difference between Evo black or Transparent, the one you ask the question is Evo Crystal and this is only transparent, I have it now for a few months and can tell you the silicon is of a better quality, dose not leve marking on your face and if looks are important, then this is invisible under water. It’s also advertised this transparent mask will not get yellow over time ( as I have it only for few months, I cannot judge this ) and ofc you get more light but this is depending on your dive conditions if it is better or worse. For a all rounder non professional diver I wold suggest you go with the Evo Crystal for comfort and light, a professional diver will have a different mask for every specific condition. Dragos
