Octopus holder.

Keep your octopus safe with you.

Color:yellow.

Enhance your diving safety and streamline your gear configuration with the CRESSI Clip Octopus Holder Support. This essential accessory is meticulously designed for the discerning diver who values reliability, accessibility, and equipment protection. An unsecured octopus, or alternate air source, can pose significant risks, from dragging along the seabed and sustaining damage to becoming a dangerous snag hazard. The Cressi Clip Holder provides a simple, robust, and effective solution to keep your backup regulator exactly where you need it, ensuring it remains clean, protected, and instantly available in an emergency.

The primary benefit of this holder is the immense boost to diver safety and peace of mind. By securely fastening your octopus to your BCD, it prevents the second stage from dangling freely. This means in a critical out-of-air situation, you or your buddy will not waste precious seconds fumbling for a lost regulator. The holder is engineered to keep the octopus in a consistent, accessible position, allowing for a quick and intuitive one-pull release. Its bright, high-visibility yellow color ensures it is instantly identifiable, even in low-light or murky water conditions, guiding you or your buddy straight to the life-saving equipment.

Beyond safety, the CRESSI Clip Octopus Holder is a crucial component for protecting your valuable dive gear. An octopus dragging on sand, rocks, or coral can lead to scratches on the housing, damage to the purge button, and, most critically, the ingress of sand and debris into the second stage mechanism. Such contamination can cause regulator free-flow or failure. This simple clip elevates your octopus away from the environment, preserving its condition, extending its lifespan, and reducing the need for costly repairs and servicing. It also contributes to a more hydrodynamic and streamlined profile in the water, reducing drag, conserving energy, and minimizing the risk of entanglement with lines, kelp, or cave structures.

Main Features:

The holder features an intuitive and durable clip designed for effortless, single-handed attachment to a D-ring on your Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) or other gear. The robust construction ensures a secure connection that won´t accidentally detach during a dive. The opposite end is specifically shaped to firmly grip the mouthpiece of your octopus regulator, holding it securely in place without causing damage. The design balances a strong hold with the ability for a swift, forceful pull to deploy the regulator when needed, ensuring no delay in an emergency. Its lightweight and unobtrusive design means you will barely notice it´s there until you need it.

Supports:

* Supports secure and stable attachment to most standard BCD D-rings and webbing loops.
* Supports a wide range of standard octopus regulator mouthpieces for universal compatibility.
* Supports a streamlined diver profile by eliminating dangling equipment and reducing drag.
* Supports rapid, one-pull deployment of the alternate air source in emergency scenarios.
* Supports the preservation and longevity of your regulator by preventing environmental damage.

Solid Octo Holder

2023/07/20

John

This holds my octo very firmly but it is still easy to pull it away if needed. My wing doesn't have an octo pocket so I bought this. It's perfect for the job and not disposable. You can unclip and reclip the holder easily if you need to and it's very secure while still being easy to grab the octo. The design stops any possibility of a free-flowing octo too which is another reason why I bought it. The only teeny-tiny problem some people may have is that, on some mouthpieces, you need to tuck it into the holder with your fingernails. This is not really a problem and it becomes a normal part of setting up your kit.

My favorite

2020/07/08

Nik

There is a wide variety of octopus holders, from those that hold the hose, to the typical balls that completely cover the end. In my family we prefer this Cressi model because the support is firm enough not to accidentally disengage, but it is also easy to use when you need it. Its color helps to locate it easily when your dive buddy approaches - everything helps in times of stress ...

Fits my octopus mouthpiece perfectly. Holds the octopus firmly without accidentally letting go but releases easily when octopus is pulled. It is a very good design that I would get again if needed a replacement. The colour is more of a fluorescent yellow than the solid yellow shown in the photo.
