After its subsidiary Cressi Elettronica’s great success in the production of various diving computer models, the renowned Italian brand Cressi presents its fifth and innovative proposal in this line, the Goa. Robust, reliable and with a markedly modern appearance, this computer has a great program and measuring versatility that makes it equally valid for either professional diving, apnea or recreational diving.

With a backlit UFDS (User-Friendly Display System) display of 35 mm diameter, the Goa offers information in a carefully organized way, with high-contrast digits separated by lines to make it easier to read even during stress or emergency situations. Its hydrodynamic, ultra-flat profile, of just 14 millimeters of maximum height, prevents both tearing and tripping on extreme depths. In addition, its anti-impact technopolymer case sports great wear resistance.

The Goa’s battery has an autonomy of 200 dives. Thanks to Goa Interface, this diving computer is fully compatible with desktop computers for configuration and adaptation to various needs. It also includes a log book with historical memory of 50 dives per mode or 40 hours.

After the successful Leonardo, Giotto, Newton and Drake, GOA is the fifth project designed, developed and produced in Italy 100% by Cressi Elettronica. Its a computer with watch design and completely modular construction, extremely robust and reliable.

Cressi has all the quality control of this product due to the fact that its entirely prepared and made in Cressi Elettronica, referring to either the Software programming or its production and manufacture, quality control and after sales service.

Under its latest and attractive watch appearance is hiding thorough software which highlights its versatility. Its perfect for advanced divers or technical diving and for apnea or snorkeling, but surprisingly simple for medium diver because of the clear and easy information supply only with two buttons.

CONSTRUCTION

Its mixed case made of stainless steel, ABS anti-impact allows a great lightness, resistance to blows and esthetic aging. Although its dimensions are rather contained (Ø51mm diameter), the digit view is excellent.

The computers profile is extremely flat (14mm maximum height), it has a section without edges and with a completely rounded design, its highly hydrodynamic and avoids possible tears. Even the strap anchorage follows the case profile.

Two rounded, low-profiled, push buttons greatly integrated in the device, and have reduced spaces to ensure O-rings watertightness when working perfectly in vertical inclination and also to avoid the entrance of particles or little sand grains that could block them.

Case diameter only 48mm.

Wide UFDS (User Friendly Display System) screen of 35mm diameter vs 48mm of the whole case. It includes the well-known ease of navigation and menus of Cressi computers with software. Information layout, display contrast, proportions and digits size have been studied to facilitate its reading. All data is segmented by division lines that facilitate its reading even in stress or emergency situation.

For 2 years I have had this computer. I mainly use it for freediving. But diving also tried. I am very pleased with the computer - an accurate, functional, well-readable display, works without problems and crashes, very reliable. I have not changed the battery yet. The only drawback is that it is not possible to install fresh and salt water. For the rest, I think this is one of the most versatile and inexpensive computers. There was a moment, I thought to give this computer to my child, but I couldn’t pick it up myself even more functional. More precisely, the only thing that would have changed him is Shearwater Teric. But for the money you can buy about 10 Cressi Goa. So I changed my mind. I wear Goa in everyday life like a normal watch. So I recommend it.

This diving watch is perfect. Not too big, but readable screen. I am using it for the moment during the acne sessions. It works very well, the display is clear and ergonomics are easy. During my sessions it shows the maximum depth, my instantaneous depth, the temperature, the time of apnea, the surface time for each apnea and cumulated for my session of apneas. I bought it about a week ago, I was testing the diving modes, but now when I select the diving mode I want, the air and ean option does not appear, why is that?

There is a diving mode for air and a separate diving mode for EAN. There is also Gauge, Free and Off. After selecting and confirming the diving mode (short beep), simply switch back to the front view (button bottom right) and the dive computer overview will appear, where Ean is also listed, for example. The detailed operating instructions that you can find on Google were very helpful to me. Overall, this dive computer is excellent, you made a good choice.
