Product description of Cressi Pro Star Diving Fins

Description summary

This is a futuristic fin, deriving from the Cressi deep sea skin-diving models, which introduces the use of more reactive materials also in the full foot fin sector of normal length.

In fact, the blade is not made from copolymer but from exceptionally light and reactive polypropylene.

This material is combined with a comfortable thermo-rubber (elastomer), used for the foot, for the side stringers and for various inserts.

The blade originates from the upper part of the foot pocket, with a 20% increase in useful surface area compared to a traditional fin of the same length.

The side stringers extend for a good way along the blade, continuing in a protective seal around the whole edge of the blade.
Two stabilising flaps on the end of the blade, on the sole of the foot, guarantee excellent direction of the fin during kicking.
The excellent, highly anatomic, computer-designed foot, guarantees optimum transmission of leg-fin thrust.
The resulting cocktail is a formidable product that makes kicking easier and powerful at the same time.
Pro Star, together with Reaction Pro model, is the most powerful full-foot fin in the Cressi range, except for models specifically designed for deep-sea skin diving and is an excellent choice for snorkelling, skin-diving and Scuba dives.

I have been using Cressi Pro Star swimming fins for my swimming training for many years. Over the years I've found that the fins typically last around 300-350 km under very heavy use. This is a very good value compared to other products and I highly recommend these fins.

Rigid enough for good propulsion when taking off from the ground but not so long as to compromise maneuverability. I recommend wearing thin booties because there is some point on the side that causes discomfort to the foot.

Hard, robust fins that you can enjoy for many years. Not necessarily the first choice for casual swimmers due to the hardness. They are quite large, so you should wear barefoot 37-38 for size 39 and 39-40 for size 41. With neoprene socks the size is OK. Total length: 37-38: 60 cm 41-42: 65 cm

I bought a second hand item from my instructor when I was beginner freediver. I used it a lot and still uses it sometimes even though I have a newly acquired long fins. I referred the same fins to my friend and bought the item here in scubastore. I use a size 9.5 but I am a size 8.5. I use a 5mm neoprene sock for better fit.

I had Cressi closed fins before - they were snorkelling fins, so I looked into longer fins with a harder blade. I use them for snorkelling and diving, works well. When it's colder, I wear them with neoprene socks. Hubby ordered them as well ;)

These fins were recommended to me as a freediving beginner. Size 39-40 goes well with a thin neoprene sock (my size 38-39). Comfortable on the foot. Haven't tested it in water yet. But I think they will do great!

Fins from a brand that rarely disappoints. I like the REACTION PRO better, but in this case they were not the number we wanted and we asked for these. They are well designed for a good grip on the instep and propel you with the whole foot. They are pretty and have a very elegant style. Their yellow color makes them very visible in the water.
