With an effective, resistant and minimalist design, the Cressi Solid BCD is the best choice available for dive and training centers.

Built in nylon 420D with Cordura 500 Denier, the Solid truly lives up to its name with exceptional durability and erosion resistance that allows it to withstand the frequent inflating done in dive centers. The Solid´s design is based on an independent ventral strap that allows prior preparation of the BCD without worrying about pressure against the torso that may be caused by inflation. Its backpack has been built with reduced thickness and lighter materials to reduce pressure against the back while keeping the durable, light thermoplastic rubber dampener usually found on these models.

As usual with Cressi BCDs, the Solid features an inflator with a double air filtering system that is easy to disassemble and reassemble. This inflator also has a thermoplastic rubber anchoring for increased strength and flexibility.

To increase its utility and comfort, the Solid has a pair of high-capacity zippered pockets for carrying tools and additional pieces of your dive equipment. This vest also includes integrated compartments to carry the pressure gauge and the Octopus, as well as an oversized shoulder pad with size lettering to facilitate management and storage in dive centers.

Good buoyancy, ideal for scuba diving schools and equipment rental centres. It features a coloured reinforcement band in the upper part of the back, at neck level, to enhance visibility in the water and protect the jacket from the abrasive action of the first stage. The sternal attachment is closed by a buckle which also serves as a safety whistle.

This BCD Iis true to it's title. A solid and seamless stitching. I like the design,which is more.inimalostoc compared to other BCDs within this range. The plate from both sides and the hanger/carrying hook is a nice and ergonomic touch. I like the number of pockets all around the vest. In addition, what I genuinely liked was the fact they when it is buckled, it glides on the main nylon strap/belt, which only facilitates it's application. Can't really test it in water,but inflated and deflated it's home. No punctures. Overall, a solid vest.

We have a few brands and types of BCD in our diving center. I really like this Cressi Solid BCD. It is in many ways better than most other types I have used so far. Like the name says it is very solid. It has an extra reïnforcement on the upper back in red. The carrier handle is easy to grip. The fabric is very good. It has a build in whistle but that´s a bit tiny, still need to attach your own. The side pockets are with zippers, I don´t like that. The zipper is hard to grab when underwater, specially with gloves on.

Practical vest, no frills but enough. In favor: holes for octopus and pressure gauge, large pockets and whistle, Against: it lacks one more ring and some padding in the lumbar area. Good product for the price it has. Rather loose size: 1.71, 70 kg and I have all the straps tightened to the maximum with size M. Perfect for the 1st purchase of a jacket.
