CRESSI Superocchio Diving Mask: The Legendary Low-Volume Mask for Freediving and Scuba

Discover the CRESSI Superocchio, a grand classic in Cressi´s esteemed production of diving equipment that continues to be a favorite choice for enthusiasts worldwide. Though it has been a staple for years, its timeless design and exceptional performance keep it at the forefront of the diving world. This legendary mask is celebrated for its minimalist profile, making it a premier choice for deep free diving, spearfishing, and scuba diving where a low profile is paramount.

The genius of the Superocchio lies in its exceptionally low inner volume. This key benefit makes equalization during descents significantly easier and requires minimal air, a critical advantage for freedivers and spearfishers pushing their limits. For scuba divers, it means a more streamlined experience with less drag and a mask that feels almost weightless underwater. The small, meticulously designed skirt adapts effortlessly to a large number of adult face types, providing a secure and comfortable watertight seal for both men and women without being intrusive. This adaptability ensures that you can focus on your dive, not on adjusting your gear.

Experience an unparalleled field of vision with the Superocchio´s unique two-lens design. The two separate, transparent lenses are situated very close to the eyes, a deliberate feature that dramatically expands your view and offers good visibility in all directions. This close-fit design minimizes the frame in your peripheral vision, creating an immersive, panoramic underwater experience. Whether you are tracking fast-moving fish, navigating complex underwater environments, or simply soaking in the beauty of the reef, the Superocchio ensures you miss nothing.

Crafted for reliability and ease of use, this versatile mask is perfect for both demanding Diving expeditions and relaxed Snorkeling adventures. The strap buckles are engineered for instant, on-the-fly adjustment, allowing you to achieve the perfect fit quickly and securely, even while wearing gloves. The classic black silicone skirt is not just for aesthetics; it helps to reduce surface glare and internal reflections, enhancing visual clarity and focus, which is especially beneficial for underwater photographers. This Adult mask is a testament to Cressi´s commitment to creating durable, high-performance gear that stands the test of time.

I bought this mask for a friend who only uses this mask, both for scuba diving and freediving. He's not interested in any other mask.

Better than perfect

Michel

I've been using this mask model for about thirty years, both for hunting and scuba diving. I used the neoprene model, then the silicone one, and I fitted it with prescription lenses... This latest version has been further improved on the strap to prevent the free ends from wandering in front of the windows, which was its only flaw. I highly recommend it.

great product

Best mask for free diving, speears fishing and UWR.

Good mask

2023/07/30

Jean-Michel

After having tried it in different situations, I find that it is a good mask but, its narrow skirt, requires precise positioning to avoid water ingress. Upward vision is limited, especially when swimming on the surface. This forces you to arch your neck to observe any surface fish such as mullets and avoid jellyfish! The vision, at the agachon, is also limited upwards! In conclusion, this mask is interesting because of its small interior volume. This is an important asset in deep apnea. Sincerely, Jean Michel.

I love this mask! I have used it for almost 20 years now. I have a narrow face and it works excellent.

Very compact

2017/07/12

G%C3%B3mez%20Bru

I have a narrow face and I am quite small and despite this the mask seems too compact, I understand that it is a low volume mask but in my opinion the skirt should be a little more generous and the lenses somewhat older, would give the mask More visibility and more functionality when pinching the nose. It is what has made cressi with other models more current low volume and honestly I think better option than this for most people. I am happy with the mask but if I had the possibility to try several models I would have opted for another one.

A low volume mask that actually seals

2016/11/09

Pettersson

+ Excellent seal + Low Volume - Buckles though solid Could be Easier to adjust - Below average field of view The fit is quite a bit Wider than a micro worm but a little narrower than most masks I've used (Sphera, Noah, Mystic, Steel comp). It is the only low volume mask That actually Creates a good seal for my medium width head, I don't have to worry about smiling underwater anymore

What are the main benefits of the Cressi Superocchio mask's low volume design?

Answer of Generated by AI and verified

The exceptionally low internal volume of the Cressi Superocchio mask makes it much easier to equalize pressure during descents. This is a significant advantage for activities like freediving and spearfishing, as it requires minimal air. It also contributes to a more streamlined, almost weightless feel underwater.
