Navigate with Unwavering Precision: The DISCOVERY EK70 Compass

Master your environment and chart your course with the professional-grade DISCOVERY EK70, a liquid compass engineered for accuracy, reliability, and advanced functionality. Designed for the serious adventurer, surveyor, geologist, and anyone who demands absolute precision in navigation, the EK70 is an indispensable instrument for fieldwork and exploration. Its robust, foldable design not only protects the intricate components but also ensures it is a compact and durable partner for any journey, from dense forests to mountainous terrains.

Experience swift and decisive readings in any situation. The liquid-filled capsule provides exceptional needle stabilization, dampening unwanted oscillations for quick, legible, and dependable directional information, even when you´re on the move. This allows you to make faster, more confident decisions when every second counts. For taking precise bearings on distant objects, the EK70 excels. It features an integrated sighting lens and a fine sighting line, allowing you to simultaneously view the target and the compass dial. This system transforms the act of taking a bearing from an approximation into a precise measurement, critical for accurate mapping, orienteering, and triangulation.

The DISCOVERY EK70 goes far beyond simple direction-finding. It is equipped with an integrated clinometer, a powerful tool that allows you to measure vertical angles, slopes, and inclines. This feature is invaluable for hikers assessing the steepness of a trail, geologists determining the dip of rock strata, or construction professionals conducting preliminary site surveys. To guarantee the integrity of every measurement you take, a built-in bubble level ensures your instrument is perfectly positioned for optimal accuracy, eliminating the potential for error caused by an uneven hold.

Versatility is at the core of its design. The compass dial is thoughtfully marked with multiple scales, including standard degrees and mils, catering to a wide range of navigational systems and mapping preferences. For enhanced stability during one-handed operation, a convenient thumb loop provides a secure and steady grip. Furthermore, for tasks requiring absolute steadiness over extended periods, such as detailed cartography or astronomical observation, the base is equipped with a standard tripod socket. This allows you to mount the compass for hands-free, perfectly stable readings. The DISCOVERY EK70 is more than just a compass; it is a comprehensive navigational and measurement instrument built to perform in the most demanding conditions
