Product description of Dive Rite Basic harness system without backplate

Description summary

Embraced by DIR purists who prefer a streamlined rig without buckles, chest strap or padding, the Basic Harness is a clean, simple harness intended for use with hard metal backplates.

MIL-SPEC polypropylene webbing provides strength, yet is soft and wont dig into the body. Harness is adjustable by cutting off excess webbing once diver has sized the harness to his body stature.

Standard two-inch webbing allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories, depending on the needs and desires of the individual diver.

Tubular webbing sleeves are included for all points where webbing comes into contact with the backplate to prevent abrasion.

Includes marine-grade stainless steel hardware.

Made in the U.S.A.

* Eleven feet of two-inch (50mm) polypropylene webbing rated at 2,900 lbs breaking strength.

* Marine Grade 316 stainless steel hardware is used throughout including: (4) D-rings, (1) bent D-ring on each shoulder strap, (2) waist D-rings (1) grommet and stainless steel belt buckle.

* 1lb 2oz (0.53kg)

simply te best, works great

Good harness

The harness is good so far, comfortable material. The only small point of criticism is that where the waist belt is pulled through on the backplate, this is solved with push-on sleeves and not with pencil stoppers (which in my opinion could better prevent the strap from slipping).
