Dive Rite Mariner 50 12´´ & Valve Wing

The Mariner 50 wing has been specifically designed for back-mounted twin-set technical diving.
Its wide, oval profile wraps around the sides of the tanks, positioning the buoyancy higher in the water column.
The result is increased stability and a greater sense of balance, even when diving with heavy steel doubles.
Traditional straight-sided wings allow gas to shift from one end of the wing to the other as the diver changes position.
This movement can upset balance and create a feeling of instability, like "balancing on a knife´s edge."
In contrast, the Mariner´s curved design keeps most of the gas at the highest point—just forward of the tank´s midpoint—regardless of body position.
This allows divers to maintain consistent balance without the wing becoming an obstacle.
The Mariner´s center plate has been widened so that a standard backplate fits perfectly without the air cell or zipper being pinched against the tanks.
Two 2.5 cm x 7.6 cm inflator hose grommets are included, offering additional options for hose routing.
The Mariner 50 wing is specifically designed for tanks from 17.8-18.4 cm in diameter.
Its 22.7 kg (50 lb) of lift is ideal for medium-sized steel or aluminum twinsets, as well as for additional stage or decompression bottles.
It is constructed from rugged 1680 ballistic nylon, with side panels incorporating SuperFabric® brand technology for added protection and abrasion resistance in the most exposed wear areas.
It is available with either a valve or an elbow, at the diver’s choice, and with 12-, 16-, or 22-inch corrugated hoses.
This modular wing integrates perfectly with the TransPac, TransPlate, or any other metal backplate and harness.
Available in Black, OD Green, Blue, and Red.
