Dive Rite Mariner 50 16´´ & Valve Wing

The Mariner 50 wing is specifically designed for back-mounted twinset technical diving.
Its wide, oval profile wraps around the sides of the cylinders, positioning buoyancy higher in the water column.
The result is greater stability and a more balanced feel, even when diving with heavy steel doubles.
Traditional straight-sided wings allow gas to shift from one end of the wing to the other as the diver changes position.
This movement can alter balance and create a feeling of instability, akin to "balancing on a knife´s edge."
Conversely, the Mariner´s curved design keeps most of the gas at the highest point—just ahead of the cylinder´s midpoint—regardless of body position.
This allows divers to maintain constant balance without the wing becoming a hindrance.
The Mariner´s center plate has been widened so a standard backplate fits perfectly without the air bladder or zipper getting pinched against the cylinders.
Two 1" x 3" grommets are included, offering additional options for hose routing.
The Mariner 50 wing is specifically designed for 7-inch to 7.25-inch diameter cylinders.
Its 50-pound lift capacity is ideal for medium-sized steel or aluminum twinsets, as well as additional stage or decompression bottles.
It is constructed from rugged 1680-denier ballistic nylon, with side panels incorporating proprietary SuperFabric® technology for increased protection and abrasion resistance in the most wear-prone areas.
It is available with either a valve or a right-angle inflator elbow, and with 12-inch, 16-inch, or 22-inch corrugated hoses.
This modular wing mates perfectly with the TransPac, TransPlate, or any other metal backplate and harness.
Available in Black, OD Green, Blue, and Red.
