IMERSION Backpack Freediving Weight Vest: Achieve Perfect Trim and Unrestricted Movement

Discover the next evolution in buoyancy control with the IMERSION Backpack Freediving Weight Vest, a pinnacle of design within our diving weight systems. Engineered for the discerning freediver and spearfisher who demands precision, comfort, and safety, this harness is crafted to feel like a natural extension of your body, allowing you to focus entirely on your dive. Move through the water with enhanced hydrodynamics and experience a new level of performance.

The core of this new ergonomic weight vest is its exceptional ability to be easily adaptable to your unique morphology. Forget the one-size-fits-all approach; this system provides a secure, customized fit that prevents shifting or bouncing during your descent and ascent. This stability is crucial for maintaining a silent, streamlined profile, essential for both competitive freediving and successful spearfishing. By distributing weight across your torso instead of concentrating it on your hips, it relieves lower back pressure and allows for deeper, more comfortable diaphragmatic breathing—a critical advantage for extending your bottom time.

Functionality is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of this vest. It features five individual weight compartments, allowing for precise and balanced placement of your ballast. This modularity enables you to micro-adjust your buoyancy and achieve perfect horizontal trim in the water, conserving precious energy and improving your gliding efficiency. The vest is designed to optimize your position, making your movements more fluid and your dives more effective.

Safety remains paramount in the deep. Understanding the needs of serious divers, the shoulder straps are equipped with essential safety features. An integrated, high-visibility whistle is readily accessible for signaling on the surface. Additionally, robust Velcro straps are strategically placed on the shoulder, providing a secure and convenient attachment point for an emergency knife. These thoughtful additions ensure that you have crucial tools within immediate reach, offering peace of mind when you are exploring the underwater world. The vest´s smart-release system is designed for quick and intuitive ditching of weights in an emergency.

Ideal for both training in the pool and exploring the open ocean, the IMERSION Backpack Freediving Weight Vest elevates your diving experience. It eliminates the discomfort and limitations of traditional weight belts, offering superior comfort, optimized weight distribution, and integrated safety features.

What our customers are saying about Imersion Backpack freediving weight vest

This adjustable weight vest offers great stability for spearfishing and diving, improving duck dives and comfort. It features 5 weight pockets, a cross-chest buckle, and adjustable shoulder straps with gear loops. The vest is praised for its quality and value. However, pocket size is a key consideration; while some users fit 1kg lead blocks, others find they only accommodate 500g weights, which can be a tight fit

Corresponds to my expectations, the belt weights can be stored with a little effort, but therefore no need to buy specific weights. I lightened my spearfishing belt by 4 kg with better distribution which provides stability at the bottom of the water. And makes duck diving easier with less effort, therefore energy gain = longer apnea. It is adjustable and therefore allows you to adapt to your body shape and comfort.

Great vest

Solid for the price. It has 5 weight pockets. I have casted few 80*80*15 (1kg) lead blocks that fit perfectly inside.

Very happy with it. FYI - the model i received has 5 weight pockets (not 4). Also, it has a cross-chest buckle, not shoulder strap buckles - the shoulder straps are adjustable though. Also, shoulder straps have loops for eg. whistle, flashlight, whatev. Lastly, a little tight squeezing in the square 500g weights, but they fit.

Excellent discharge

The product has too often put small pockets for weights. I was forced to make changes to the products. Disappointing.
