MARES XR Reel: The Definitive Choice for Technical Diving Reels

Discover unparalleled reliability and performance with the MARES XR Reel, a critical piece of equipment for the serious diver. Engineered specifically for the most demanding underwater environments, this reel is your trusted companion for deep wreck penetration, intricate cave exploration, and advanced technical dives where gear failure is not an option. Born from thousands of hours of rigorous testing in diverse recreational, technical, and cave diving settings, the XR Reel delivers consistently proven reliability through a unique and trouble-free design.

Built to withstand the harshest conditions, the MARES XR Reel boasts a construction that prioritizes durability and function. The handle is meticulously machined from a single block of 6061 marine-grade anodized aluminum alloy, offering exceptional resistance to corrosion and wear. This is further enhanced by a rugged, hard-coat finish that protects against the inevitable bumps and scrapes of navigating tight spaces. Every component is selected for its superior strength and longevity in saltwater, including the robust stainless steel 316 marine double-ended bolt snap for secure attachment and a knurled stainless steel 316 marine lock-down screw for steadfast control.

Usability is at the core of the XR Reel´s design. The precision-fit handle, complete with precisely adjusted Delrin flares, ensures exceptionally smooth and controlled line deployment and retrieval. This optimized, entanglement-free design minimizes the risk of snags and jams, allowing you to focus on your dive plan. Even in challenging cold-water conditions, operation remains effortless. The oversized, knurled lock-down screw is easy to grip and manipulate while wearing thick dry gloves, and a specially designed puller provides enhanced grip and control when your hands are cold. The high-visibility white braided nylon line offers a clear, strong visual reference, crucial for navigation in low-light environments.

Whether you are laying a guideline through a complex cave system or deploying a surface marker buoy from depth, the MARES XR Reel provides the flawless performance and peace of mind you need to push your diving boundaries safely.
