It´s difficult because the sizes here don´t match what the manufacturer has here https://www.oceanicworldwide.com/product/fins/open-heel-fins/viper-2-fin-open-heel/ I would go with the EU 40-41 or the Reg. Oceanic says the "SM" size is for EU 39-44 which should work well for size 42. I have the large, because I have a 46/47 shoe and it works really well for me with all situations. My large fins work with my neoprene booties and also with my dry suit boots.
