OMS Performance Mono 32 Lbs Wing

Experience unparalleled stability and precision in the water with the OMS Performance Mono 32 Lbs Wing, expertly engineered for the discerning single-tank diver. This wing is designed to elevate your dive by providing exceptional buoyancy control, a streamlined profile, and the rugged durability that OMS is renowned for. Whether you are exploring vibrant reefs or advancing your technical skills, this wing delivers the performance and reliability you demand from your life support equipment.

At the heart of its design, the OMS Performance Mono wings are a classical donut-style. This proven shape allows for smooth, effortless air migration from side to side, ensuring you can easily achieve and maintain perfect horizontal trim with no air trapping. This inherent stability reduces drag, improves your energy efficiency, and allows for a more relaxed and controlled diving experience. The wing has an inflator integrated pull dump OVP at the left shoulder and an OVP at the left hip, offering multiple, intuitive options for venting air and fine-tuning your buoyancy with precision.

Built for resilience and long-lasting use in the most demanding environments, this wing features an innovative dual-bladder construction. The outside bladder has a TPU laminated liner for exceptional abrasion and puncture resistance. The second, internal bladder is ultra sonically welded, providing a redundant layer of security and peace of mind on every dive. Access to the inner bladder is managed through a robust, heavy-duty YKK Large teeth zipper, chosen for its reliability and ease of use even with gloved hands.

Integration and convenience are key features of the Performance Mono Wing. A single tank adaptor is cleverly incorporated directly into the back of the outer bladder, creating a secure, stable, and low-profile connection to your cylinder without the need for additional bulky hardware. This thoughtful design simplifies your rig, reduces weight, and enhances overall comfort in the water. Available in multiple lift capacities and a variety of colors, you can select the perfect wing to match your diving needs and personal style.

I have 2 OMS Performance Mono 32 Lb wings in my locker (one black and the Miami Blue) and I like them a lot. This is my go to wing and the two have staggered service schedules so that I always have one available. I really like the Miami Blue a lot and dive it most frequently. having ,the built in soft single tank adapter (STA or tank stabilizers) is great for the warm water load out so I don't have to have the extra weight of a stainless steel (SS) or Aluminum STA. I have never noticed or had issues where I felt the tank was not secure or held in position well, so I like them a lot. The only potential downside is that the wing doesn't have a handle on it like some others, which some may find it a little challenging to get a good grip when wet/changing tanks for the next dive (esp. when using a SS backplate). For me I just use on arm to lift from the harness and the other to slide up the tank bands and is easy enough. I like the arched shape at the bottom of the 32 lb wing versus the rounded shape of the 27 lb wing. When you have it inflated it doesn't press on the glutes (kind of a nit-picky personal preference but its worth mentioning). The positioning of the dump valve is pretty standard, easily accessible and works well. The inflator integrated pull dump is also flexible and easy to use. I ordered from the US and it was straightforward, arriving in a timely manner (retailers in the US were telling me 3 months to receive). The order shipped 12 days after order confirmation and was delivered to me 1 month after the order confirmation.

Hi can you use a 15 litre tank with this wing?

Answer of Alfonso

It´s a wing with a lot of lift and also allows you to use it with a heavy plate. I´m very happy with it. Regards.

Hello, Is this OMS wing compatible with the Dive Rite transpac harness?

Answer of Tristan

I believe so as the generic part that needs to be the same is the spacing of the bolts that pass through the wing and onto the backplate.
