I am very happy with the watch, but the temperature gauge takes a while to keep up with the sharp temperature changes. So if I dive to a depth of 12m from 27 degrees on the surface to under 18 degrees on the bottom, then I have to wait 10 seconds or more on the bottom until the watch displays and records the actual temperature on the bottom. If you push yourself off the bottom directly, the temperature is wrong. I don't know if that's the watch's fault, or just physics. The water inside has to cool down first. You might be able to help it along by shaking it or something. I haven't tried it yet - it just occurred to me. The depth gauge, on the other hand, works practically in real time. I've tested it in various swimming pools and it is well calibrated. I trust the watch! Of course, you should still develop a feeling for the depth and try to guess the depth before you look at the watch. That way you instinctively don't dive too deep.

The watch is rather simple, but I like that I can change the battery myself. The watch seems like good quality and it has really nice dimensions. It is small enough to be relatively comfortable on the wrist and I don´t wear a watch in my daily life. It is large enough to be easily readable. It has a lot of really useful functions for freediving and not much else except for what you expect from every watch. I like that, little can go wrong.

I own citizen aqualand and needed something to display surface time. This watch is by far the best bang for buck watch there is for spearfishing or Freediving. Seems rugged but wouldn't trust that so mount on the wrist downwards. A lot of features for the price.

It’s my first free dive/spearfishing computer. It does water temperature, surface time, dive time, dive depth, surface time(automatic). It’s automatically detects dive when u dive over 1.5m deep(so u don’t have to do anything when u in water) Also can set up alarm to beep when reach 5,10,15m deep- can set up any depth u like. And can set up beep dive time. Simple to use. Display readings large and clear. Excellent build quality and does everything. It’s works as normal watch too.

I give it 4 stars for its excellent value for money. A simple, intuitive watch and even with an interesting and original aesthetic sense. In addition to its essential basic functions, apnea time, depth, temperature at maximum depth and surface/recovery time, I would like to point out a few shortcomings. 1.Maybe it's possible but I still haven't figured out how to turn off dive mode after a dive session. The mode is maintained for 24 hours in recovery time (counts the surface time which obviously after leaving the water it no longer makes sense to continue counting). 2.If you use it for spearfishing, pay attention because the visor is made of plastic and is not very resistant. It got all scratched after the first dive (any touch of a stone immediately makes a mark on the watch face or bracelet), if you usually get into holes, be very careful, I advise you to wear the watch with the watch face down, on the bottom of your wrist. 3.To consult the statistics of the dives is very boring, it has to be one by one, and it is segmented, it is organized in an ascending way from the first to the last dive, identified by hours and number of the dive, but to see the apnea time and the depth of that dive has to press another button, ask for not having a more complete view of each dive. It also doesn't have general statistics, or a more complete summary, and only records 99 dives per session. I imagine that because it is so cheap, it is not possible to connect to a computer and have an easier and more complete view of the dives. In conclusion, I think it is very good to see the progress during the session. It gives you a clear idea of each dive, and is also very good for your apnea training.

I am so used to my Suunto watch where it senses water pressure and automatically switches to dive mode but not with this. You must make sure that it's on dive mode before you dive or the dive is not registered. So take note of this. This is the only small inconvenience I have found. Yes, but you will lose the watertightness guarantee. If you don´t want to lose this, you have to go to an official Salvimar partner. My own experience: You only have to loosen 4 screws and then you can easily change the battery yourself. You just have to make sure that the sealing ring is in place correctly and is clean (no sand particles or anything like that on it) and that the ring is also still supple and not porous. If the ring becomes porous, you can buy a new one online. But it should last for many years. The battery will probably last for years too, but it depends on how often you dive. I dive 2-3 times a week in the summer at our lake and it lasts for over a year there. You don´t have to record every dive. You can just set it to a normal watch when diving and then it doesn´t use any extra battery. My tips for care: If you go diving in salt water, you should rinse the watch with fresh water afterwards. I just put it in the sink for a few minutes. Then I blow out the watch properly so that all the water comes out of the cracks. You can also tap it a little on a towel.

There is no way to calibrate it for fresh water diving. They say the depth meter differs by 1.5 meters when diving to 30 meters. It would differ less when you dive shallower. Say the meter shows 15 meters in fresh water, the real depth would be 14.2 meters.
