Description summary

Stay seen and safe with the XDEEP Closed 140 SMB Deco Buoy. At 145 cm, its bright, logo-free surface and SOLAS-certified 3M reflective tape ensure maximum visibility, day or night, even in poor weather. In an emergency, it quickly converts into a personal flotation device. Its smart design includes a quick-deploy loop, a holder for a chemical light or message, and an anti-bacterial coating to prevent mildew. 145 cm of perfect visibility The SMB must be visible at a long distance. The bright color of the xDEEP buoy is clearly visible even during unfavorable weather conditions and complies with the requirements of the maritime visibility standards.

The SMB is not an advertising banner, therefore we decided to leave the buoy material free from the big logo of the xDEEP to make the bright-coloured surface as large as possible.

Visible also at night and at very long distances The xDEEP SMB is equipped with a special 3M Scotchlite reflective tape with SOLAS maritime visibility certificate.

This perfect fluorescent material guarantees that your buoy will be visible at a very long distance. It is especially important at sea where at night it is very difficult to make out something as small as a surface marker buoy.

Emergency buoyancy device in a few seconds In emergency situations, you may need to have an additional source of buoyancy which will help you or any other diver remain surfaced.

The xDEEP SMB can be converted in a few seconds into an emergency source of buoyancy by clipping its ends together with a double-ended snap hook.

It is an ideal solution since you take the buoy with you every time you dive.

Always ideally cleared and at hand In the lower part, the SMB is equipped with a rubber band loop which the rolled up buoy is ideally cleared and takes up little space.

Such a solution is much better than any buoy holder, since when it is needed, you can unroll it with one move without wasting time.

Space for chemical light or message In the upper part of the SMB, there is a transparent holder where you can put the chemical light or a paper with information for the surface support team.

It is a perfect solution when you want to pass a message that you need something, while staying at the deco stop.

Why did we place it on the side and not at the top of the buoy? Such an arrangement guarantees that the things you put inside will not fall out while the buoy is floating on the water.

Easy to deploy The lower loop in the xDEEP SMB was made in such a way so as to maintain its round shape which makes it easier to move the reel or to clip the double-ended snap hook together.

This apparently small change is a huge convenience and speeds up the deployment of the buoy especially when you do it in poor visibility conditions.

We did not use a fixed snap hook on purpose so that in case of the damage of its spring you do not have to unstitch the buoy to replace it.

Top quality fabric from the USA The xDEEP buoy is made of high quality fabric, Nylon 240 dTEX, made in the USA and destined for application in maritime signalling equipment and life jackets.

In the production we applied a special colouring process making the material more resistant to colour-fading due to salty water.

Anti-bacterial coating Wet environment inside the submersible marker buoys is an ideal place for the development of bacteria, mildew and fungi, which can cause chronic sinus infections and can force you to refrain from diving for many weeks.

In the same way, in all the other xDEEP wings as well as in the shell of the surface market buoys, we applied an antibiotic protection which prevents the development of micro-organisms.

This accessory is a must-have in personal scuba gear, lightweight when rolled up and attached to the BCD, easy to inflate by mouth (although at 6 meters deep, the air expands little, so to see it fairly inflated at the surface it´s better to blow twice); however, it´s well-made, delivered in nice packaging in a timely manner

Remarkable quality, as expected. This buoy has everything you need, closed cell, reflector band, flashlight pocket, over pressure valve and a sturdy inflator. Given to its size (140cm) you might need a few breaths to fill it properly, but it will work with a low pressure hose as well. As the buoy inflator doesn't lock with the hose when pressed together, the buoy can be filled quickly and released immediately. I'll have to practice that skill, the big nylon hand strap to which the reel gets attached might come very handy.

It is a very good closed DSMB, but not for beginners. Its length is optimal, however a bit thick, so a bit more air is needed inside. Well visible from far away as well. Easy to blow up with the mouth, much more easier than other similar products I tried ever. Made of strong material.

Very good product. Long enough for normal days in the ocean, very visible, comparable to more expensive units - mares xr or halcyon. as all the closed dsmb´s the oral inflation is not that easy to operate - you really need to blow harder on it. I got used on mine.
