The side pockets are big enough for a large phone on one side and a flexible water flask on the other. The bag pocket is great for several gels and other bits and pieces. The size estimator initially suggested a small but it was too tight. The medium was better which is my usual size anyway, although I would have preferred it slightly tighter as it felt just a bit loose. On the run though it was fine. A large phone in the side pocket was trying to pull it down but adjusting the waist cord sorted this out and the rest of the run went without noticing anything else about the shorts.
