Had a little discomfort with these at first while wearing them in but they are now the comfiest walking trainers I've ever had. Sole feels much sturdier than the Lone Peak 8s I used to have and they feel more solidly built too.

The only thing that's put me off these previously was the lack of vibram outsole. Coming from Altra Olympus and Topo Athletic these feel much the same, with a slightly narrower forefoot sole width than the topo, but slightly roomier toebox, but feels a bit less volume at the toes than the Olympus 4 which I would gladly go back to. Probably now a bit heavy and inflexible for the old lone-peak fans, but a good alternative to the two I mentioned for a well cushioned zero drop ,trail or light hiking shoe with great grip, traction and stability (better at the latter than the Olympus due to lower stack presumably)

Until now, I've been using the Altra Superior. I preferred them because they have a slightly smaller sole and better ground feel. With only 4 mm more sole, these shoes offer a good ground feel, and the sole lasts longer than the Superior, which I also find excellent.

Normaly I am using 43 but here I have ordered 44 and it is fine. I wear the shoes for everyday walking/commuting not for running .
