It prevents the fixation and growth of marine fauna and flora on propellers and bases due to a low critical surface tension. It contains no copper or tin compounds or other toxic substances that can cause environmental pollution. It is used as a preventive fouling coating for boat propellers and transmissions. Since it contains no copper, it is suitable for use near stern drives, rudders, underwater lights, interchanges and other bow thrusters.
