Same as feelings as Johannes: a fantastic fin, looks great, beautifully made, feels amazing, very powerful and very manoeuvrable. However the foot-pocket is very small. I've had AquaLung medium fins for years that are as comfy as slippers, but the first dive with my RK4s left my feet in agony where the top part of the foot-box was rubbing my feet (through 5mm neoprene boots). Apeks advised me to get a bigger size fin! I have size 41 feet and had the medium sized fin.

I believe the 42-44 is indeed size L(arge). I’ve just ordered a pair to replace my size M(edium), which are too small for my 7.5 feet with 5mm boots. Based on my experience with the size M fins, I would consider going XL with the 6mm boots.

Hi, I have Apeks ThermiQ boots (not a drysuit) and I want to know if the RK4 fins fit properly in size 42-44 EU. What is the footwell depth of the fin?

My strong advice is to buy a bigger size fin than you would normally, probably a size large for your 42-44 feet. I have size 41, narrow feet and had really bad foot pain with the 'MEDIUM' size RK4. I contacted Apeks and they recommended a bigger size ... which is not much help after you've bought and used them! The footwell measures 22cm on the bottom of the fin. HTH.

I think a size M would be best for a size 41 I am a size 42 and bought a size L it is ok but even in my size M it would also be ok

The fins look very futuristic, are well made and of high quality. Frog and back kicks work well even for beginners :) I normally wear shoe size 43-44, the dry boots just about fit into the fin!

Do you have any suggestion for size currently im using mares avanti quattro plus fins size regular, which size do i need to get for rk4, as usually other sites they advertise as small, medium, large compared to shoe size. Should i get the EU42-44 option?

Yes this is the new Apeks RK4 I tested in the sea and in the pool with the students. Very good fins I can recommend if someone cares about high propulsion force and good manoeuvrability
