Hello, I did indeed buy this Direct System for my club, which has Cressi and Scubapro BCDs (same DS as Scubapro Hydros Pro 2). In principle, it is preferable to fit a DS of the same brand as the BCD. In your wife´s case, we can understand that she is asking for a more flexible DS. The Cressi DS has several advantages for your wife: - It is compact and lightweight. - The inflation button is large. - A very big advantage for your wife: inflation can be done with the inner base of the thumb, which allows for greater force to be applied compared to the tip of the thumb on the Hydros. - It can be used with a fenstop like on the Hydros. - Don´t forget to rinse it when you rinse your equipment. Over (many) dives, internal oxidation can occur and prevent inflation. This is why you should always check that your BCD is working properly with every water entry!.
