I see 2 parts thicker then the silicon strap it self, on both sides of this product. They look like metal or plastic clamps. Difficult to say from the product photo, so I wanted to ask, can those be used to shorten the length of the silicon strap?

Hello it is just the junction between the two silicone cords connected by a 2 plastic cylinders allows the extension of each cord during installation impossible to shorten (sealed) allows to maintain its regulator at the level of the blow without look for it
