Dive Rite Mariner 50 12´´ & Valve Wing

The Mariner 50 wing is specifically designed for back-mounted twin-cylinder technical diving.
Its wide, oval profile wraps around the sides of the cylinders, positioning buoyancy higher in the water column.
The result is greater stability and a more balanced feel, even when diving with heavy steel twin cylinders.
Traditional straight-sided wings allow gas to shift from one end of the wing to the other as the diver changes position.
This movement can upset balance and create a feeling of instability, as if "balancing on a knife´s edge."
Conversely, the Mariner´s curved design keeps most of the gas at the highest point—just ahead of the cylinder´s midpoint—regardless of body position.
This allows divers to maintain constant balance without the wing becoming a hindrance.
The Mariner´s center plate has been widened so a standard backplate fits perfectly without the air cell or zipper being pinched against the cylinders.
Two 1" x 3" webbing slots are included, offering additional options for webbing routing.
The Mariner 50 wing is specifically designed for cylinders 7" - 7.25" in diameter.
Its 50 lbs of lift is ideal for medium-sized steel or aluminum twin cylinders, as well as additional stage or decompression bottles.
It is constructed from rugged 1680 ballistic nylon, with side panels incorporating the SuperFabric® brand technology for added protection and abrasion resistance in the most wear-prone areas.
It is available with either a valve or an elbow, at the diver´s choice, and with 12", 16", or 22" corrugated inflator hoses.
This modular wing is a perfect match for the TransPac, TransPlate, or any other metal backplate and harness.
Available in black, OD green, blue, and red.
