Having used this mask a couple of times now I can confirm that my ears stayed bone dry during both morning dives, but there are a few things that you should note. You need to have short hair/sideburns to ensure that an effective seal is achieved around the ear. I have a beard and needed to trim that down to ensure that as close as contact as possible was maintained with the skin. If water is introduced into the ear cups this can be expelled by exhalling through your nose as you would to clear your mask. The ear cups will compress against your ear naturally as you descend, and the pressure can be offset again by exhalling throuh you nose, if you need to adjust the ear cups mid-dive, just exhale through your nose as you re-position them. I opted not to use the supplied head strap as frankly it makes a daft looking mask look even more ridiculous, but this did cause the ear cups to slide down slightly and press agains the top of my ears...next dive I will be trying out the strap. Hello, the complete kit consists of Ist Dolphin Tech Left or Right Ear For Pro Ear Mask plus Ist Dolphin Tech Pieces For Pro Ear Mask, which is the connection to the mask and earmuff. You need two earmuffs and two pieces. I´ve been doing it for years and tested my lungs at 40 meters.
