I needed (wanted) a shorty which was good for snorkling with an attached hood (attached is very handy). First I was worried the 4mm is to much, however it works perfectly. Its warm and it floats your body perfectly. I even can make dives with a full face mask. So the floating is not to much. A full face mask can be worn over the hood! Just be sure not to put the seal on top of the hood but put it underneath.
