Lightweight and comfy BCD

Really good BCD. The freedom of movement is much better compared to others; it allows for very smooth buoyancy regulation and easy movement, likely due to the improved hydrodynamics. I used 1.5 kg of lead in both pockets plus an additional 5 kg, which worked very well for the Baltic. The only issue was with delivery. The parcel was too large for the DPD parcel locker, so upon arrival, I had to pay an extra 8 EUR (in addition to the initial 12 EUR) for courier delivery.

As a long-time Mares user, the weight of my aging Vector 1000 Jacket has bothered me for some time on trips. For this reason, I ordered the identically cut, but significantly lighter Rock Pro Jacket, and it serves me perfectly for air travel. Its behavior in the water is quite comparable to the Vector 1000 – all controls are identical and familiar. Conclusion: A good decision for weightless diving holidays

Super BCD. Even though I'm a woman, the BCD doesn't bother me (well, I have a small chest, that helps). What I find particularly nice is that it doesn't move, it fits the torso (I'm 175cm tall and weigh 68 kg and I took a S, I could also have taken an XS, because the straps are tight as much as possible). In addition, the BCD is made of a beautiful material, very solid. It is true that once inflated, the side pockets are difficult to access (so as another person said: don't put anything too big or sharp in it). Several well-designed purges, enough D-rings. The weight pockets are well fixed. I am delighted with this purchase. It's only a year old and 50 dives so far in tropical waters, easily transportable and doesn't take up too much space once properly strapped in and still like new.

This is my sons BCD and it has very similar feature to my aqualung BCD. Very well made and super reliable. Love the fact that the dump valves have big and easy to find pulls.

The "Mares Rock Pro BCD" jacket is very comfortable, has a firm hold and holds a lot more air than my previous training jacket from another company. The 6 D-rings are the right size and in the right place. This has been very well thought out from a practical point of view. Another feature that I really value is the ability to pull on the inflator head to trigger the quick release. This makes the descent much easier because I hold the diving lamp in my right hand and don't like to raise my hand because of the possible glare. The larger pockets on both sides are unfortunately also compressed when the jacket is inflated. Sensitive objects or those with sharp, hard edges should never be inserted. The weight pockets are held with a much safer click closure (buckle). This means that there is no chance of accidentally pulling on the handles, pressing the safety lock button or forgetting to lock them. I've lost too many weight bags with the other closure or found other divers' lost ones on the bottom. A weight bag slipped out especially often when climbing up the boat ladder.

Have only used the BCD in pool training so far, but cannot find a single fault with it. Very comfortable fit and excellent buoyancy. Plenty of D rings, and the SLS weight system works perfectly.

How heavy is the bcd rock pro.

Hello, how many liters of buoyancy does this BCD have in size XL?

Since I bought size M, I can only answer with a calculation formula: I inflate the jacket with size M with 5 deep breaths on the surface. I assume a breathed air volume of 750ml, so I can fill in 3,750ml. My wife´s MARES Dragon jacket in size XL can hold 6.5 breaths of 750ml each (4,875ml).
