What size tape is it for? 5 or 5.1cm

It is for both. It handles 5.1 centimeters and thinner.

Technically, the tape is 50.8mm so this D Ring will fit 5.1cm. It should also fit 5cm but it will not sit flush and the D Ring will be a little bit past the tape.

My tape is 5.1 cm and fits well, just the right size.

Either will fit. 1 millimeter difference in fabric material, it would flex to fit even if the width was exactly 50 mm.
