ASMODEE The Great Split (La Gran Division) - A Richly Rewarding Strategy Board Game

Step into the opulent world of art and wealth with The Great Split (La Gran Division) by ASMODEE. This masterfully designed board game invites you to become a prestigious collector, vying for the most valuable assortment of treasures. Perfect for game nights, this experience is a masterclass in negotiation, clever strategy, and a touch of calculated risk. If you enjoy dynamic player interaction and the thrill of outsmarting your opponents, prepare for a uniquely engaging and infinitely replayable challenge. This is more than just a game; it´s a test of wits where every decision matters, making for hours of competitive Fun.

The Great Split introduces an innovative and compelling core mechanic that sets it apart. The game is for 2-7 players in which you will have to achieve the most prestigious collection of riches, exchanging cards with the rest of the players in simultaneous draft rounds. You start each round by dividing your hand of valuable cards—representing priceless art, gems, tomes, and gold—into two distinct groups. Then, you pass your Wallet, containing your clever split, to the player on your left. Of course, be careful: only one of the two groups of cards that you have created will return to your hands. The suspense is palpable as you wait for their decision.

But do not spread panic! While your opponent decides which of your sets of cards he wants to keep, you also get the Wallet from the player to your right, so he chooses well. This creates a fascinating dilemma. Do you create one amazing pile and one weak pile, hoping your opponent takes the bait? Or do you create two balanced piles to guarantee a decent return no matter what? Observe and analyze what your opponents’ collections are to know what riches they need so you can create the perfect offer to push them to choose what you want them to choose and stay with the most succulent booty. This "I Split, You Choose" system ensures you are constantly engaged, making deals and anticipating moves with zero downtime.

Ideal for families and groups of friends, this table game scales beautifully from an intimate two-player duel to a bustling seven-player party. Every game unfolds differently, promising high replayability as you explore new strategies and adapt to your opponents´ cunning plans. Can you master the art of the deal and assemble a collection worthy of legend?
