Meet the first Barbie® doll with Down syndrome! Barbie® has partnered with the National Down Syndrome Society to design a doll that celebrates the diversity that characterizes this community.

Meaningful symbols have been added to her clothing, such as the butterflies, representative of Down syndrome, and the blue and yellow color palette, to raise awareness of Down syndrome.

Her pink pendant has three arrows, a representation of the third copy of chromosome 21 that people with Down syndrome have, and they are pointing outward to symbolize the action of getting up and moving forward.

Barbie® doll´s pink ankle and foot brace matches her outfit perfectly and supports her walking, and her white sneakers have a zipper so boys and girls can easily put them on and take them off.
