Sail is a cooperative trick-taking game for two players, in which you will have to decipher the intentions of your partner and play cards that, combined, allow you to advance your ship or defeat the kraken. The work of Akiyama Koryo and Kozu Yusei and illustrated by Weberson Santiago, Sail offers games for two players, from 11 years old, lasting about 20 minutes. The objective is to get the ship to its destination without it being destroyed by the kraken. Through card plays, the players will advance the ship and activate abilities to protect themselves from the sea creature. To start playing Sail, the board is prepared according to the scenario you want to play; each player will take a pirate card with a powerful ability, the game deck is prepared, with numerical cards from 3 to 9, and the kraken deck is prepared. The game consists of 5 rounds . Outside of these you can talk and discuss strategy, but once the cards have been dealt, you can no longer communicate until you have played the last trick of the round in play. As in other trick-taking games, the player who opens marks the suit to be played. Whoever plays the highest number (of the same color) wins the trick. If the cards that have been played in the trick form a combination of symbols (rudders, kraken tentacles, whale tails or cannons), an action is executed. These actions move the ship, damage it, or attack the kraken. If you understand each other well, each play will bring you closer to your goal.
