This game must be ordered in multiples of 6. There´s a party on the island, and it lasts a whole week! On the beach there are 5 brightly painted wooden masks and you´re collecting colorful feathers to decorate them. You have to make them look pretty, the more feathers the better. However, black feathers bring bad luck. Sometimes the wind blows a feather away, and sometimes one of the feathers gets burned by the flames of the bonfire. Above all, you have to try to make your favorite mask as pretty as possible, but no one can tell which one it is. Can you tell which mask the others are decorating. And can you stop the others from knowing which one you´re decorating. Designed by Lars Jansen and illustrated by Andrew Bosley (Everdell, Tapestry, Love Letter), Samoa is a fun card game with deduction and luck-forcing mechanics and a good dose of bluffing, where nothing is as it seems. All players compete to earn the most points over three rounds. Each player has a favorite mask, but the others don´t know which one it is. Their goal is to decorate their own with as many colorful feathers as possible to score points, but without arousing the suspicions of the others. To decorate the masks, cards are placed on the top and bottom of a mask. There will be cards that will score more points and others that will even subtract points. At the end of the round, players will try to guess which mask each one is wearing and if they succeed, they will get bonus points. However, if the others manage to discover a player´s mask, they will not be able to score points. With very few rules, but with a lot to offer, Samoa is a perfect game to play with family and friends. And don´t be guided by the recommended age on the box. To adapt the level of difficulty to the playing group, the rules offer some rule adjustments so that the youngest players can enjoy the experience.
