You are the archon of the City of Dreams, where the Incubi (negative, sad dreams) and the Somnio (positive, joyful dreams) have dwelled for eons as opposing but complementary forces. Your task is to maintain or restore the delicate balance between these dreams: place them in the city´s different districts and harness their power so that no group becomes more powerful than the other. You must also ensure that Chaos (uncontrolled, bewildering dreams) doesn´t cause excessive problems and adapts as best as possible to the city. Urbion is a card game to be enjoyed solo or with another player in cooperative mode, designed by Shadi Torbey and illustrated by Élise Plessis. This title is part of the Oniverse saga, a thematic universe that encompasses the games Onirim, Sylvion, and Cyberion. With a core hand management mechanic, the goal of Urbion is to claim all the city cards. To claim a city card, you must first balance it: a city card is balanced when the sum of the powers of all the dream cards next to it, to the left and right, equals zero. Turns are divided into two phases: play or discard a card, and replenish. To play a dream card, you only need to follow three basic rules: one of the symbols on the card you want to play must match one of the symbols on one of the city cards in the center of the table. Second, Somnio cards (with a positive value) must be played to the left of the city card , and Incubi cards (with a negative value) to the right. Finally, there cannot be more than three dream cards on any side of a city card. Easy, right? Instead of playing a card on the table, you also have the option of discarding a dream card to activate an effect: exchange or census. Exchange allows you to swap previously played dream cards, and Census allows you to remove balanced city cards with positive and negative values surrounding them, whose sum is zero. Finally, in the Replenish phase, a new card is added to your hand, unless a Chaos card is drawn, which must be added to the center of the table or a penalty is triggered. The game ends in victory when all 12 city cards have been balanced, or in defeat if a draw is required and there are no more cards left in the dream deck. This edition also includes 7 mini-expansions that will add variety to your games.
