What are markers?

Markers are exceptionally versatile stationery items that add color to creative projects. The markers dry quickly and are easy to use. Therefore, they are ideal for children who love to draw. Ink soaked refill allows for even color application. The marker is commonly used for coloring, drawing, and even for special effects like color blending.
Marker pens generally come in two different types of nibs.
A thin, firm plastic tip encased in metal for smooth, even writing.
A softer tip that allows you to write with both the sides and the tip of the marker tip.
Markers can come in many different colors, tip sizes, and ink types, making them versatile for producing smooth, even lines. The markers are available in different tip sizes. There is no standard size; each brand has a different tip size that does not necessarily correlate to the size of another brand.
They also come with different types of inks such as water based, oil based, acid free, alcohol based, and permanent. Alcohol and oil based inks are more resistant to water than other types of inks. On the other hand, water based felt tip pens are less likely to bleed through paper. Janod, Crayola, and Milan are the most recognized manufacturers of markers.
