Nice, lightweight, comfortable shoe. I was expecting still a bit more space for fingers, but this is still great comparing to any other trail shoe.Read carefully the size chart to select ,proper size based on physical length of your feet.

Also my first Altras. For years I have been running with zero drop, and I use Merrell trail gloves with an 8mm sole. They are good, but they have so little heel that on looser terrain and slopes they do not grip well. These Altras have a thicker sole, so you notice less the pebbles you step on and, above all, they grip well. The front of the shoe is very wide, which is great for giving space to the toes. The only warning: the size comes out very small. I wear 44 in normal shoes, for running I normally ask for 44.5 but for these Altras I had to ask for 45.

In my case, they run slightly smaller than other brands, and clearly slightly smaller than the Lone Peak 6.

The protective insoles for stones that are a bit hard on the asphalt are very good at the moment and there are races that, when agreed, are not removed, but well, it is the first time that I use them, it will surely adapt better with more outings since it can be used without problems and in Mountains were noted in the protection of stones. Happy money with the purchase.

Lightweight good for grass or non-rocky dirt trails. You feel the rocks under the heel on the descents. Excellent for climbs otherwise because super light

A feeling I have never had before

First time I put this pair of shoes on I felt like I have never felt so much freedom before. So much space for your toes, shoe is so lightweight and flexible, truly amazing feeling. I have used it yet for walking and cannot really complain. 2 things I have noticed though so far: 1. once it was rainy and I entered the shop where they had tiles on the floor the sole was extremely slippery so I am not sure how it will behave on wet rocks and boulders 2. as the upper part of the shoe is just very thin fabric once you tie your laces more firmly it is becoming very uncomfortable but obviously it is just a matter of tightening it less and you are back in comfort zone

My first Altras! Have´nt had the chance to take them out for a run yet, because of all the snow and ice. They're the first shoes with good space for my feet and seem to have good grip, so I think they're going to be awesome! Thanks RunnerINN!

These are my go to trail shoes…or just about everything shoes. Light and responsive and don’t hold much water so actually great for wet days and swim run. The material is very forgiving and stretches to give your forefoot freedom without becoming sloppy. Possibly consider going up 1/2 size from your normal shoe size though. These bad boys will always be in my stable.
