Taking the crossover expertise of the Distance Z and adding FlickLock Pro adjustability, the Distance FLZ is a mainstay for hard-hitting mountain athletes. Pole-locking is secure, fast and easy, and a three-section foldable design allows for fast-response deployment.

It is compact, it is lightweight near the carbon, it is strong enough to not deflect even a little weight! However, drying of wet pole takes time.

I don´t always use poles when hillwalking but sometimes I like them for steep grassy slopes or stream crossings. For years I´ve strapped conventional telescopic poles to the outside of my rucksack but they were heavy and sometimes snagged on rocky scrambles or walking through low forests. These poles fold down so they can fit in my rucksack easily when not in use and they are very light, so not much extra weight.. The mechanism to fold and unfold is so easy to use so that I can deploy the poles quickly without delaying my walking companions.
It is reasonable.
