The Ultratrail FX.One is an indispensable companion for your next trail running race! It´s equipped with the new Trail Shark, the first grip-strap system developed 100% for trail running. Thanks to newly designed air channels, its grip weight has been reduced by 30 % compared to the familiar Shark system. Excellent light weight poles for paragliding 'hike & fly', they pack up small, there is a coated wire which holds the sections together (not cord). I still think 'cork' is the best material for handles on poles and the Leki Ultratrail FX One poles don't dissapoint (YMMV). I hope they last, they do seem well made with nicely finished carbon. They are very bright, no chance of mislaying them ;-) BTW, I'm 176cm (5'9") I bought the 120cmin red which are working out really well.

I use them for Hike and Fly in paragliding, uphill they are excellent and light, the Leki handle is always the best and the product is perfect for repositioning then in the backpack for paragliding descent. Mine is not a "classic" use like that during the trail.

I seem to remember that they had a 2-year guarantee against manufacturing defects. In any case, I can tell you that they are very durable. I have had several pairs. Obviously, the paint comes off because it gets damaged in the mountains by hitting the rocks. The tips can be replaced when they are worn out, and if you maintain them properly after each use, you will have poles for years.
